  1. I've been so lucky this summer and as well as celebration cakes, I've had the privilege of providing wedding cakes for some wonderful couples.

Firstly, Nic & Abi's cake which I set up at the beautiful Coombe Lodge in Blagdon. Those ombre ruffles were a test to my thumbs! Each one hand ruffled and applied, it took a while! Topped with a sugar rose and fern to match the stationary, it was a stunning cake. I was honoured to have recently been asked to make Nic's 40th birtthday cake too, check out the Buddha cake in my celebration cake gallery.

I made Ian & Georgina's cake back in May. They held their reception in the paddock of their local church. They opted for a 3 tier cake in ivory with flowers to match the bride's boquet.

Spencer & Nic got married in Essex, so That Cake Lady went on tour! It was a beautiful marquee wedding and the theme was naked (the cake, not the bridal party!).

Paul & Katie's cake was pure elegance. They held their reception at Priston Mill and such a beautiful setting deserves a beautiful cake. I was excited to use my first ever hexaganol cake in this design and then the royal iced piping and handmade sugar roses finished it perfectly.

Paul & Karen held their reception in a marquee in their pretty country garden. I just adore the big statement cluster of flowers on the cake, each one hand crafted from sugar.

Andy & Emma wanted a simple rustic cake for their wedding at Rookery Manor. 3 layers of traditional Victoria sponge finished with buttercream. The cake fitted perfectly with their cream theme.

I am now taking bookings for wedding cakes for 2015. I pride myself on my personal service. From the initial consultation through to the wedding day, I will ensure you get the cake you want. Cake testers are always provided (and decent sizes too, I'm never mean!) and colour boards are made up to make sure we are all singing from the same hymn-sheet! Cake stand and knife hire is included if required as is set up of the cake at the venue within 15 miles of Nailsea.  A £40 deposit secures the date in my diary.

  2. I get asked that a lot, "do you ever get bored of cakes?"

No, I don't! With such a wide range of styles and designs that I get asked to do, how could I ever get bored of it? Take this last week, I've taken 8 orders - hobbies cake, vow renewal, Minecraft, wedding cake, 60th birthday cake, 18th birthday cake, 50th birthday cake and an Oriental theme cake. How could I get bored?!

I've had some lovely orders go out too, with lovely feedback, which means the world to me. A pretty vintage 1st birthday cake for Hattie which was divine to look at and by all accounts, eat too!
